Welcome to Marbury Middle School! As the principal, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child. As we embark on the 2019-2020 school year at Marbury Middle, the faculty and staff are dedicated and committed to providing your child with a positive middle school experience. The experiences that your child will gain during their tenure at MMS will enable them to grow both socially and academically. Our goal is for your child to become more respectful, responsible and resourceful. As we strive to meet this goal, we also acknowledge that the educational process benefits your child greatly when all stakeholders work together. In doing so, we can ensure that each student becomes a productive member of society.
Your involvement in your child’s education plays a vital role in how successful they will be at Marbury Middle School. Along with this Handbook for Students and Parents, I refer you to two other important sources of information. First, is the Autauga County Student Code of Conduct, which can be accessed through the Autauga County School System web page at www.acboe.net. The Autauga County Student Code of Conduct should be referenced by the student and the student’s parent(s)/guardian(s) as needed until the student has completed his/her school program or withdraws from the school system. The second source of information is the student section of the Autauga County Public School Board Policy Manual, which provides more in-depth information not covered online through the ACBOE Website.
The faculty, staff and I are dedicated to helping your child achieve success. We value your support and look forward to helping your child have a most successful middle school experience. I look forward to seeing your child grow both academically and socially during his/her time at Marbury Middle School.
Jerome Barrington, Principal
